PPPILA

PPPILA is a British political party in Slough, England. PPPILA stands for Promoting Public Participation in Local Affairs.
The party was founded in April 2006. For the 2006 local elections it used the title of Slough Independents. The leading figure and election agent for the group is Paul Janik (formerly of Independent Britwellian Residents political party in Britwell), the chairman of Slough Independents from 2005.
For Slough's 2007 local elections, ward dependent names such as Independent Cippenham Residents, Independent Colnbrook Residents, and the Slough Independents were combined into a single Slough-wide campaign identity of The Slough Party. The non-aligned Independent Langley Residents joined The Slough Party in April 2007.
